Lawyer-Mediator

Roger Levitt

Roger is a full-time mediator, having been a solicitor for over 40 years.

He has completed over 250 civil and commercial mediations across a wide range of business and commercial areas, including property, wills, trusts and probate.

He trained as a commercial property solicitor and specialised in commercial property transactional work from 1984, working with a wide variety of clients ranging from UK financial and retail institutions to small businesses.

Roger’s experience in handling commercial property transactions, and in “getting people to the table to do the property deal”, has led seamlessly to his mediation practice, which he started 17 years ago.

Roger also has experience as a law firm partner, having been a founding equity partner of a well-known West End firm.

He has mentored newly qualified mediators for the past seven years and is described as patient and empathetic in his mediation work.

He has completed — and recommends — the ML Neurodiversity Mediation Training run in collaboration with The Brain Charity.

Roger is a Fellow of the Civil Mediation Council and a Board Member, currently serving his second term.

On the Board, he is responsible for Mentoring, Peer Review and Reflective Practice.

He is also a member of the Mediators’ Standards Board and a recent Chair of the Complaints Committee.

He is a member of the International Mediation Institute (IMI); the RICS/PLA Panel of Boundary Dispute Mediators (a founding member); the Property Litigation Association; the Law Society; and the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates (Advisory Board).

He is also a co-author of the RICS Mediation Guide (1st Edition, January 2015).

Roger is ranked as a Leading Mediator in The Legal 500 2026 edition.
