Andrew Morgan is a qualified solicitor and CEDR accredited mediator with over 30 years' legal experience, specialising in personal injury, asbestos disease and workplace injury claims.
He is a Partner in the highly regarded asbestos litigation team at Fieldfisher, a leading European law firm. Andrew is ranked as a Tier 1 Claimant Industrial Disease Lawyer by Chambers and Partners and is recognised by Legal 500 as a Leading Partner in claimant personal injury law.
Andrew's interest in occupational health law began whilst serving as a shop steward in local government before qualifying as a solicitor with a leading trade union firm, where he specialised in industrial disease and employment law claims.
He later joined Fieldfisher, where he has built an outstanding reputation acting in complex industrial disease, catastrophic injury and professional negligence matters.
Over the course of his career, Andrew has represented clients in terminal illness, fatal accident, serious brain injury, psychiatric injury and professional negligence claims. He also has a particular interest in costs litigation and has appeared in a number of reported cases.
Andrew has played an important role in the development of industrial disease litigation.
Through his work with the Occupational Health Group of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), he contributed to the Mesothelioma Pre-Action Protocol and the development of the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (DMPS).
As part of the APIL delegation, he also participated in the multi-day mediation that led to the introduction of the fixed costs regime for industrial disease claims, which now forms part of the Civil Procedure Rules.
Having experienced mediation from both the advocate's and negotiator's perspective, Andrew understands the legal, commercial and personal factors that influence successful settlement.

Outside his legal practice, Andrew served for two years as a director of a leaseholder-owned property management company.
