Stuart is a qualified Barrister, Adjudicator and Accredited Mediator with over 30 years’ legal experience, predominantly gained in a commercial ‘in house legal’ role. 

 

For nearly 11 years and until 2019 he was Head of Legal/In house Counsel for a large UK subsidiary of the Bouygues Construction Group, a French multi-national, dealing with a wide range of legal and commercial issues while managing a team of 4 lawyers.

He also acted as CEO for multiple large scale and complex PFI/PPP projects both in the UK and internationally.

Prior to becoming an Accredited Mediator, he acted as party representative in many mediations, however, since qualifying, he has led numerous mediations always receiving very positive feedback.

Stuart has considerable experience of managing high value civil litigation so benefits from a deep understanding and appreciation for the value of mediation.

His broad and extensive legal and commercial experience gives him invaluable insight which he can use to assist parties through the mediation process.

Consequently, Stuart always approaches disputes with a strong commercial understanding in order to try and seek the best possible outcome.

As an Accredited Mediator, experienced lawyer and with his extensive contractual expertise, Stuart has an extremely well-rounded knowledge which serves him well when acting as a Mediator.
